When CEO Dawn Maree founded Commercial Welding, her goal was to create a new kind of opportunity in the trades, one she wished had been available to her when she was starting out as a dishwasher and diner cook. “I realized,” she said, “that there must be more people like me who want to work hard and make a decent wage but also take pride in the work we do. I wanted to build a business where the everyday worker can prosper – a place where every worker matters.”
With this vision in mind, she created Commercial Welding to be a place where hardworking tradespeople, regardless of education, gender, race, or creed can apprentice to gain new skills that expand their craft, take on greater responsibilities to advance along their career path, and gain ownership over projects so that they can take pride in building better lives for themselves and their families.
